Featuring a two-stage Copeland scroll compressor, theTempstar air conditioning unit remains at the quieter lower stage throughout most of its operating time. When seasonal extremes demand, the Tempstar uses the higher stage to cool your home. Its deluxe sound blanket further minimizes sound levels during all operating stages. The patented Copeland scroll compressor integrates with the copper tubing system for excellent energy savings. In addition a two-speed fan motor permits both quiet service and minimal energy use for maximum comfort. When used with matching equipment, the SmartComfort can achieve up to 16 or 18 SEER efficiencies. Designed for easy cleaning, Tempstar SmartComfort offers easy-to-reach coils that make maintenance a snap.
